We had a great experience earlier today. Our food was so good and the portions were huge! There is a coffee shop connected as well so we got to enjoy drinks from there too. We can’t wait to come back!

Only a 5 minute wait for 2 on a Sunday morning. Excellent service from Ashley! The food was fresh, hot, and quick to come put. We got the Mountain Man breakfast. Gravy was thick, sweet, and peppery! Ordered eggs sunny side up, and they came out perfect. French toast had thick fluffy slices, and bacon was thin and chewy (my preference!). Got an amazing pumpkin cheesecake latte. Hashbrowns were crispy and the grits were to die for. This is a true southern breakfast that I'll come back for.

We have been here several times and the food is always delicious. They have outside and inside dining. They have two kitchens one is Italian and the other is American fare, this is why you receive two menus when seated. Since good is coming from two kitchens your table orders may not come at the same time. No big deal you just have to be aware. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a burger with onion rings, both were excellent. The service was great and we will be back!

If you come to Grandfather Mountain, please stop by Banner Elk Cafe & Tavern, their food is amazing! Look at the pictures you will see how the food presentation is made! Beautiful to perfection! You have to look for the server named Mackenzie, she is so helpful and super friendly!

First time visiting Banner Elk were in town for five days went there to eat breakfast on Friday morning and ate breakfast there everyday and supper. The food was amazing the staff was wonderful. The owner walked out around and talked to the customers. One of our waitress Kelly she was great gave us suggestions on where to visit and things to do with us being new to the area. 2nd time we've eaten here in the last few years. The food is good, the coffee is great, and the service is friendly. Plus, the rustic atmosphere is fun. We'll be back the next time we're in the area.
